The CBI chargesheet has made a big revelation in the case of murder of Purvanchal mafia don Munna Bajrangi in Baghpat jail. The murder of Munna Bajrangi was pre-planned and three pistols of the same bore were used in his murder, while the fourth pistol was kept for tricking.
Many people including Sunil Rathi and his brother have been made accused in the murder case. Purvanchal’s mafia don Munna Bajrangi was brought to Baghpat from Jhansi jail on July 8, 2018 to appear in the case of demanding ransom from former MLA Lokesh Dixit. Munna Bajrangi was shot dead in jail on the morning of 9 July.
The then jailer UP Singh had filed a case of this incident in the police station, accusing the jailed notorious criminal Sunil Rathi of murdering Munna Bajrangi. The then jailer and three prison guards were suspended after the incident. On the petition of Munna Bajrangi’s wife Seema Singh, the High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry into the incident.
After which CBI was investigating the case, for which the CBI team had also reached Baghpat jail several times. After completion of investigation, CBI presented the charge sheet in the court. However, it is being told that the court has pointed out flaws in the charge sheet and asked to present it again after conducting a complete investigation.
